Summer in Belgrade: Jevremovac Botanical Garden, a forgotten paradise

18:14

"Flowers are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul."
Beauty surrounds us but usually we need to be walking in a garden to know it.
"Jevremovac" Botanical Garden is a forgotten paradise in the center of Belgrade. This secret garden is a real refuge from the hustle and bustle where the soul can relax and rest properly. Today`s botanical garden in Belgrade was founded in 1889 thanks to our celebrate scientist Josip Pancic and king Milan Obrenovic.
This is amazing botanical oasis that still stretches over about 5 hectares and is home to almost 1000 species of plants.
There is also a Victorian_styled Greenhouse, which exudes the spirit of old times and it is attraction itself. Also my favorite spot is incredibly beautiful corner where is Japanese garden.

Pefect place for escape in a hot summer !
