Summer in Serbia : Novi Sad Petrovaradin Fortress

Be happy !

Not because everything is perfect. But because you choose to focus on the perfect moments!

Today we are still traveling trough amazing city of Novi Sad. Our stop is Petrovaradin Fortress, nicknamed "Gibraltar on the Danube". This beautiful postcard place is a fortress in the town of Petrovaradin, itself part of the City of Novi Sad in north Serbia. It is located on the right bank of the Danube river. The cornestone of the present-day southern part of the fortress was laid on 18 October 1692 by Charles Eugene de Croy. Petrovaradin Fortress has many tunnels as well as 16 km of uncollapsed underground countermine system.

in 1991 Petrovaradin Fortress was added to Spatial Cultural-Historical Units of Great Importance list and it is protected by Republic of Serbia. Also this beautiful place is home of the famous europian music festival Exit. But my vote goes to the view and sunsets!
